Kobre & Kim’s Jason Kang recently participated in the Practising Law Institute’s (PLI) Doing Business In and With China 2025 program, an online event bringing together leading U.S. and China-based practitioners to examine the evolving legal and commercial landscape surrounding cross-border business with China.
Jason spoke on the session “China: Litigation, Arbitration & IP Protection,” where he joined Josh Wang of JunHe LLP, Leo (Rundong) Liu of Beijing DHH Law Firm and Mevelyn Ong of Sidley Austin LLP to discuss practical strategies for navigating cross-border disputes involving China. The panel covered approaches to managing cross-border litigations and arbitrations, challenges in enforcing judgments and arbitral awards, and how to navigate the relevant risks associated with sanctions, export control and other regulatory frameworks in the US and China.
The broader program explored key developments in foreign investment, capital markets activity, outbound transactions and regulatory trends, offering attendees a comprehensive view of the issues shaping business engagement in and with China.
