The Analyst Program

“The culture we have tried to create at Kobre & Kim is one that encourages people to speak for themselves and to be vocal about their opinions. We know that the best ideas and strategies do not always come from the top down but from all directions. This is important because we are ultimately in the business of advocating for our client’s position.”

–Michael S. Kim, firm co-founder

What is the Analyst Program?

The Kobre & Kim Analyst Program is a highly selective, two-year program for recent graduates and young professionals. With over 60 Analysts worldwide, participants work closely with attorneys from the start of investigations through litigation, gaining exposure to complex legal and financial matters.

Analysts support case teams by conducting factual and financial analysis, legal research, drafting filings, and preparing for court appearances and client meetings. Unlike traditional paralegals, Analysts take on substantive responsibilities, becoming the “masters of the facts” on each case.

Many Analysts bring multilingual abilities, regional expertise, or financial backgrounds, enhancing the firm’s global capabilities. The program reflects the founders’ vision to deliver greater value to clients by blending legal expertise with strategic, cost-effective support.

Additional information on our Analysts, including Specialist Analysts, can be viewed on the Our People section of our website.

Why Join the Analyst Program?

Kobre & Kim’s Analyst Program offers recent graduates a unique opportunity to gain hands-on legal experience, develop critical thinking skills, and build a foundation for success in law, business, or beyond.

Analysts benefit from early responsibility, direct client interaction, and opportunities for promotion to roles like Senior Analyst or Specialist Analyst, where they take on leadership and advisory responsibilities.

The program also offers opportunities for career growth, skill development, graduate school preparation, and additional perks such as social events, speaker series, and more.

Job Qualifications

The Analyst role is open to final-year students, recent graduates, and young professionals from all academic backgrounds worldwide. Ideal candidates have a strong academic record, excellent critical thinking and communication skills, and a bachelor's degree from an accredited university.

Analysts are intellectually curious, motivated individuals from diverse disciplines—ranging from STEM and finance to the social sciences and liberal arts. While an interest in law or financial markets is welcome, it's not required. Proficiency in additional languages such as Arabic, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Korean, Mandarin, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish is a plus.
